World1,400 Yemenis flee to Djibouti within 24 hours
About 1,400 people fled Yemen for Djibouti within 24 hours, according to Djibouti’s economy and finance minister, as Houthi fighters tightened their grip on the Bab al-Mandeb strait. Women and children were among those reaching Obock after some boats ran out of fuel. The IOM says at least 46,000 people have been displaced in Yemen since fighting escalated last week.
