HealthEgypt prepares to launch clinical trials for Ebola vaccine

Egyptian scientists are preparing a new Ebola vaccine for clinical trials expected to start within weeks. CEPI is providing about $16.5 million to support Minapharm and its Germany-based subsidiary ProBioGen through manufacturing, regulatory work and Phase One testing. Trials with volunteers in Rwanda are planned for December, with a possible public rollout in early 2027 if approvals are secured.
