TechSam Altman says an OpenAI IPO in 2026 would be “ill-advised”
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman confirmed in a Fortune interview that the company will not go public in 2026. Altman also said building AI beyond human control is “absolutely” possible, but pledged to act to prevent it, including pausing training if necessary.
