TechRevolut tricked into giving hackers wealthy customers’ passport and Bitcoin records

Revolut treated a fraudulent government request as legitimate and disclosed customer passports, verification selfies, identity details and Bitcoin transaction histories. The request came from an unauthorized mailbox inside a genuine government agency’s email infrastructure and passed authentication checks. Revolut blocked the sender and notified customers and regulators, but has not identified the agency or disclosed the number affected.
