At a meeting with Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Ethiopia is making a constructive contribution to BRICS and that Moscow was pleased the country joined while Russia held the group’s presidency. He described Ethiopia as a longtime trusted Russian partner in Africa and praised Ahmed’s role in strengthening bilateral ties.
