PoliticsBRICS to seek reform of global economic governance institutions
The BRICS members said in the New Delhi Declaration that reforming global economic governance remains a priority. They pledged to coordinate more closely to make international financial institutions more representative, transparent and accountable, and called for changes to the Bretton Woods Institutions and their leadership selection procedures to better reflect the role of emerging markets and developing economies.
