BRICS leaders said in the New Delhi Declaration adopted at the group’s 18th summit that they will continue developing cross-border payment mechanisms and promoting the use of national currencies. They called for further discussions aimed at practical payment solutions that are fast, low-cost, accessible, efficient, transparent and secure, while respecting national priorities and recognizing that no single approach fits all countries.
