WorldHouthis claim major advance in Yemen and tighten grip on Red Sea shipping lane

Iran-backed Houthi forces claim a major advance on Yemen’s western Red Sea coast. A source from Yemen’s internationally recognised government says they seized Perim Island at the Bab al-Mandab Strait, while military sources say they also captured Mokha from Saudi-backed forces. Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman reportedly urged Donald Trump to take military action, but Trump has so far declined direct US involvement.
