Leonid Slutsky, chairman of the Russian State Duma’s International Affairs Committee, condemned Houthi strikes on civilian and economic targets in Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan and Najran, saying they violated Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and endangered its security. He also denounced attacks on Red Sea commercial vessels as violations of free navigation. Saudi media reported 73 people, including women and children, were injured on September 8.
