A decade of data suggests Bitcoin’s volatility is increasingly concentrated in US stock-market hours. From 2022 to 2025, the 13:00–21:59 UTC window generated 50.6% of daily realized variance, and the volatility peak shifted with New York daylight-saving time while weakening notably on NYSE holidays. The study leaves ETFs, futures, hedging and other institutional flows as possible drivers.
