TechInstitutions Chase 3% Bitcoin Yield, but the Payout Machine Fails if Miners Stop Burning Cash
Stacks says its first institutional Bitcoin Staking bond launched on Sept. 10 with about 250 BTC committed by 21Shares, HashKey Cloud, UTXO Management and Sypher Capital. The six-month Genesis Bond targets roughly 3% annualized yield in BTC, funded by Bitcoin spent by Stacks miners through Proof of Transfer. The product still carries lockup, liquidity, operational, protocol and reward-sustainability risks.
