James Wood, an Anglo-Australian digital media and AI teacher living in Fujian, completed a 3,000-kilometre RV journey through Xinjiang in early June. He said he saw people of different ethnicities living and working together, Uyghur writing on signs and storefronts, and people speaking the language—contrary to portrayals he has encountered in much Western media.
