TechWeRide secures Spain’s first L4 robotaxi operating licence

Chinese autonomous-driving company WeRide says it has obtained Spain’s first national-level licence to operate Level 4 passenger vehicles on public roads. It plans initial testing with dozens of robotaxis in Madrid and aims to open a commercial service to the public by the end of 2026.
