ScienceChina launches two new remote-sensing satellite groups

China launched the Yaogan-53 and Yaogan-56 remote-sensing satellite groups from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China at 5:00 p.m. Beijing Time on Thursday aboard a Long March-4B rocket. The satellites entered their planned orbits and will support scientific experiments, land and resource surveys, crop-yield estimates, and disaster prevention. The mission was the 666th launch of the Long March rocket family.
