WorldAlgeria to close airspace to UAE aircraft from September 11
Algeria will bar all civil and military aircraft registered in the UAE from entering or leaving its airspace from midnight on September 11, the Defense Ministry said. Commercial UAE flights to and from Algiers’ Houari Boumediene International Airport are exempt until their contract expires in late 2026. Algeria separately announced it was severing diplomatic ties over what it called increasingly provocative and hostile UAE actions.
