Lithuania’s Seimas plans to adopt a constitutional amendment in early 2027 removing the ban on deploying nuclear and other weapons of mass destruction on its territory. Speaker Juozas Olekas said the autumn session may run until January 13, while the amendment requires two votes and support from 94 of 141 lawmakers. Russia says such a move would prompt countermeasures.
