TechOsmosis freezes 22.65 BTC after Nomic forwarding bug

Osmosis froze 22.65 BTC after a flaw in Nomic’s custom forwarding system enabled a double-spend and left allBTC partly unbacked. Nomic and allBTC transfers, minting and redemptions are paused. Osmosis said its chain and the Inter-Blockchain Communication protocol were not compromised, and plans to seek governance approval to confiscate the frozen BTC and cover the remaining shortfall with community-pool funds.
