PoliticsTrump considering larger CIA role in Russia-Ukraine peace talks, FT reports

President Donald Trump is reportedly considering giving CIA Director John Ratcliffe a larger diplomatic role in efforts to negotiate a Russia-Ukraine peace deal, while reducing the roles of envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner. The White House called the report “totally fake news,” but officials said Trump has not made a final decision. Negotiations remain stalled, with Russia and Ukraine divided over territory and security guarantees.
