Tung Chee-hwa, former vice chairman of the CPPCC National Committee and former chief executive of Hong Kong, died of illness in Hong Kong at 9:57 p.m. Tuesday at the age of 89. He served as the HKSAR’s first and second chief executive and was a vice chairman of the 10th through 13th CPPCC National Committees.
