The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank is developing a platform to pool institutional investors’ capital and roughly quadruple the private funding it mobilises for infrastructure projects across Asia. Insurers, pension funds and other investors would co-invest in infrastructure debt across the bank’s 111 member countries on a programmatic basis instead of negotiating each deal separately.
