China’s EV adoption rate has reached a record high as the Iran war encourages motorists to move away from petrol cars despite a sluggish auto market. China Passenger Car Association data showed that 65.2% of the 1.54 million cars sold in mainland China last month were pure electric or plug-in hybrid vehicles, narrowly surpassing the previous record of 65.1%.
