PoliticsPoll finds 45% of eastern German voters back AfD, just 12% support Merz’s party
A Forsa poll commissioned by RTL and NTV puts support for the AfD in eastern Germany at 45%, 30 percentage points ahead of The Left. Friedrich Merz’s CDU has 12%, while the SPD and Greens each have 9%. Only 7% approve of Merz’s performance, compared with 91% who disapprove.
