EconomyYou can borrow against Bitcoin without selling it, but there’s a catch
Bitcoin holders can place BTC with a custodian and receive a token usable on another network, allowing them to borrow without selling their coins. The trade-off is reliance on the custodian, redemption rules, token stability and lending software. Because the loan is overcollateralized, a sharp Bitcoin decline can still trigger liquidation. Coinbase, Circle and WBTC offer competing versions.
