Five baby orangutans were rescued from a forest in Odisha, thousands of kilometres from their natural habitats in Indonesia and Malaysia. Officials are investigating whether an international smuggling network brought them into India and abandoned them near a highway. The critically endangered animals are quarantined at Nandankanan Zoological Park.
