CultureSurvey finds more than 500 additional petroglyphs in Ningxia’s Helan Mountains
A re-survey of the Helan Mountains rock art site in Ningxia has identified more than 500 previously unrecorded petroglyphs, including a rare four-horse chariot carving. Launched in 2020, the work uses field inspections, drone mapping and imaging, with new finds to be digitally archived for site protection.
