WorldUS strikes Iranian oil tankers in Strait of Hormuz

The US military struck several Iranian tankers in the Strait of Hormuz on Tuesday. Explosions were reported near the southern port of Jask and Kharg Island, key Iranian oil-export sites. A US official said the strikes retaliated against attempted Iranian missile attacks on a US Navy warship; no casualties were immediately reported.
