A Tech Transparency Project investigation says Meta took days to remove Facebook and Instagram ads containing AI-generated child sexual abuse material. It identified 332 such ads that Meta failed to detect this year; most promoted Chinese-made AI apps, including “nudify” tools. Several ads used photos of real children and digitally depicted them in sexual abuse scenarios.
