Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Russia refrained from using force for three days at the US side’s request, allowing Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner to travel safely to Kyiv for negotiations. The envoys visited Moscow on September 5 and Kyiv on September 6.
