Somali piracy targeting cargo ships and dhows off the Horn of Africa has returned to levels unseen in a decade. Since late April, pirates have carried out eight hijackings, amid disruption linked to the US-Israel war against Iran, political instability in Somalia and the diversion of international naval resources to nearby waterways.
