Russian theaters are expected to stop showing unlicensed foreign films as “pre-show services” by New Year’s, according to cinema owners’ association chairman Alexey Voronkov. He said Avengers: Doomsday and Dune: Part Three have no announced Russian release dates and, even if Hollywood talks succeed, could arrive no earlier than April 1, 2027.
