WorldFinland completes 200-kilometer fence along Russian border
Finland has completed a 200-kilometer barrier along scattered sections of its border with Russia. The €356 million project includes a metal fence, road, cleared strip, cameras, lights, and loudspeakers. Helsinki says it is intended to prevent illegal crossings and so-called directed migration; a landowner’s bid to reroute it was rejected by a court.
