Labor Against War says the US has led Australia into “wars of aggression” for 50 years and calls on the Albanese government to pursue an independent foreign and defence policy. The campaign follows data showing the US military and American defence companies control or can access 110 Australian facilities. Foreign minister Penny Wong defended the alliance and said the bases operate at Australia’s invitation and under Australian command.
