SportsQaidam Planet Challenge blends sci-fi, sports and astronomy in Qinghai

China’s first outdoor orienteering event combining technology, sci-fi, sports and ecology was held in Lenghu, Qinghai. Set in the Mars-like Gobi Desert of the Qaidam Basin, the 14-hour challenge included cross-country running, desert driving and team tasks, alongside sci-fi visuals, concerts and drone shows.
