Russia’s Daniil Medvedev was beaten by American Frances Tiafoe in the fourth round of the US Open in New York, losing 6-7 (1-7), 4-6, 6-7 (6-8). Tiafoe will meet compatriot Alex Michelsen in the quarterfinals. Medvedev has reached six Grand Slam finals and won the 2021 US Open.
