The three-day “Silk Road” Chinese Film Showcase opened in Cairo on September 1 with five Chinese productions. Organized by China Media Group, it brought Chinese and Egyptian filmmakers and audiences together. Egyptian viewers said the films offered relatable stories and a glimpse of everyday life in China despite language and cultural differences.
