EU enlargement chief Marta Kos cancelled a planned visit to Serbia over what she described as the “glorification” of convicted war criminal Ratko Mladic after his death. Kos said the tributes were incompatible with the values underpinning Serbia’s path toward the EU. Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic criticised her explanation and said the government would support the funeral.
