SocietyFrance announces €1 billion in aid for farmers recovering from drought and heatwaves

France allocated more than €1 billion on Friday to help farmers recover from a brutal, record-breaking summer drought. Agriculture Minister Annie Genevard said the package includes €520 million in rapid payments for weather damage and a €235 million recovery fund for seeds, plants and animal feed.
