TechMonad mainnet upgrade cuts the cost of co-located data storage by 98%

EVM-compatible blockchain Monad activated its MonadTen mainnet upgrade on Sept. 2 at 14:30 UTC. MIP-8 replaces slot-by-slot storage warming with 128-slot pages: the first read on a page costs 8,100 gas, while later reads on that page cost 100 gas, making data stored together substantially cheaper to read.
