Hong Kong’s market regulator has designated some authorised funds with at least 50 per cent of their net asset value exposed directly or indirectly to private-market assets as complex products, raising the threshold for selling them to retail investors. The Securities and Futures Commission said it had observed some funds acquiring indirect private-market exposure.
