Nepal is struggling to identify remains recovered after the August 26 floods, some of which are badly decomposed. For health reasons, unidentified bodies are being buried after DNA samples are collected and identification numbers assigned. Relatives of missing people can give samples at a centre in Kathmandu’s police hospital for genetic comparison with the remains.
