CultureFrench president to open Bayeux Tapestry exhibition as he starts UK visit
French President Emmanuel Macron begins a two-day visit to Britain on Wednesday, joining King Charles III to view the landmark Bayeux Tapestry exhibition. He will also be the first EU leader hosted by Prime Minister Andy Burnham. Burnham called the loan of the tapestry, which depicts the Norman conquest of England in 1066, a strong example of post-Brexit French-British cooperation.
