TechMicrosoft is enabling a Windows 11 security feature that can hurt gaming performance

Microsoft plans to enable memory integrity protection and Virtualization-based Security on more eligible Windows 11 devices through quality updates starting next month. The kernel-level protection blocks untrusted code and drivers, but can reduce game frame rates on some hardware, especially older processors. Devices where users previously disabled the feature will not have it automatically restored.
