TechGoogle Maps renames Lake Ontario ‘Lake America’ as MapQuest downloads surge

Google Maps is showing US users the name “Lake America” for Lake Ontario after Donald Trump’s executive order seeking the change. Canadians still see “Lake Ontario,” while users elsewhere see both names. Apple Maps and MapQuest retain the original name, and MapQuest has risen to the top of the US App Store download charts.
