Britain is broadening enforcement of Russia sanctions to the payment routes used by sanctioned networks. The National Crime Agency issued its first nationwide alert on the A7 network, urging financial and crypto firms to scrutinize intermediary wallets, cross-border infrastructure and other evasion signals. A proposed law would raise civil penalties to £2 million or 100% of a breach’s value, but legislation is still required.
