TechNvidia’s controversial DLSS 5 arrives September 3rd and demands serious GPU power

Nvidia will officially launch DLSS 5 this week, with NBA 2K27 currently the only game supporting it. The technology is limited officially to RTX 50-series desktop and laptop GPUs and GeForce Now, and Nvidia estimates a 50 to 60 percent performance hit. Earlier demos drew criticism for drastically altering character appearances, while newer NBA 2K27 examples look more restrained.
