SportsFootball power struggle caused FIFA World Cup plan fallout, says Kushner

Investor Joshua Kushner blamed global football’s political dynamics and internal power struggles for the backlash against FIFA’s abandoned plan to sell stakes in a commercial subsidiary managing competition rights, including the World Cup. He said his firm would not have joined the project had it anticipated the fallout. UEFA is preparing a potential criminal case against FIFA President Gianni Infantino, while Kushner and Thrive Capital are not accused of wrongdoing.
