TechWorld’s longest undersea high-speed rail tunnel project passes 4-km boring milestone
The “Yongzhou” tunnel boring machine has excavated more than 4,000 meters from the Ningbo side of Zhejiang’s Jintang undersea tunnel, leaving less than one kilometer to the planned mid-sea junction. The 16.18-kilometer tunnel is part of the Ningbo-Zhoushan Railway and is set to become the world’s longest undersea high-speed rail tunnel.
