WorldNewspaper: Over 200 prominent Israelis urge PM to end West Bank violence
More than 200 prominent Israelis signed a June letter urging the government to stop attacks against Palestinian civilians in the West Bank, The New York Times reported. The signatories included two former prime ministers, over three dozen retired Army and Air Force generals, former intelligence chiefs, rabbis, a Nobel laureate and a leading novelist. They accused Benjamin Netanyahu’s government of failing to halt the violence and pursuing a policy implicating the military, Shin Bet and police.
