Chinese President Xi Jinping told Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the sidelines of the 2026 SCO summit in Bishkek that China is ready to consolidate strategic trust and deepen mutually beneficial cooperation with Uzbekistan for a new “golden decade” of bilateral ties. He urged progress on the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway and cooperation in artificial intelligence, anti-desertification, education and poverty reduction.
