WorldReuters: Ukrainian attacks push Russian grain exports from the Black Sea to the Baltic
Russian grain exporters are redirecting shipments from the Black Sea and Sea of Azov to the Baltic after Ukrainian attacks on vessels and port infrastructure, Reuters reports. Rail bookings to Russian Baltic ports have surged, while the Grain Union forecasts 5–6 million tons could move through Baltic states this season. Strikes have disabled more than 80% of Russia’s grain export capacity, with August wheat exports at a 16-year low.
